Replacing a WHR filter
Everything eventually wears down. For a maximum of comfort and efficiency, it is important to replace your WHR filters on time. Replacing your filters ensures:
- A healthy environment. Clean air filters ensure clean air ducts. They filter a large amount of dust and bacteria from the air coming into your house.
- Noise reduction and energy saving. If the filters are clogged, the system will automatically start running at a higher rpm. This does not only cause an unpleasant noise in your house, it also raises the energy consumption.
- An ideal atmospheric humidity. If the air is too dry or too wet, it can have an adverse effect on man, animal and plant. A well-functioning WHR ventilation system ensures an ideal indoor climate.
Maintenance advice
TOPS WHR Filters advises to replace your filters every six months and in case of newly built houses every four months. Check your filters on a regular basis and, if necessary, you can clean them using a vacuum cleaner on the lowest setting so your filters won't damage. NB: never clean air filters with water or any other liquid!
